We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Superintendent to join our dynamic construction team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in multifamily and apartment construction, with a strong background in ground-up projects. This role requires a seasoned professional with 10-15 years of work experience in the field, capable of overseeing complex construction projects from inception to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Leadership: Take full responsibility for on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of construction professionals, including junior superintendents, foremen, and subcontractors.
  • Schedule Management: Develop, maintain, and update project schedules, ensuring all milestones are met and communicating any potential delays to project stakeholders.
  • Quality Control: Implement and oversee quality control processes to ensure all work meets or exceeds industry standards and client expectations.
  • Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations, maintaining a safe work environment for all personnel on site.
  • Budget Oversight: Monitor project costs, identify potential cost overruns, and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality or schedule.
  • Subcontractor Coordination: Manage and coordinate subcontractors, ensuring their work aligns with project timelines and quality standards.
  • Client Relations: Serve as a key point of contact for clients, architects, and other stakeholders, maintaining open lines of communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Problem-Solving: Quickly identify and resolve on-site issues, using experience and expertise to find innovative solutions to complex problems.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all construction activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as building codes and zoning requirements.
  • Technology Integration: Utilize construction management software and other technological tools to enhance project efficiency and communication.

Qualifications

  • 10-15 years of experience in construction management, with a focus on multifamily and apartment projects
  • Proven track record of successfully managing ground-up construction projects
  • In-depth knowledge of construction methodologies, building systems, and materials specific to multifamily structures
  • Strong understanding of local building codes, zoning laws, and regulatory requirements
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Superior problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Project)
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and contract documents
  • Familiarity with structural, civil, framing, infrastructure, and concrete construction
  • OSHA 30-hour certification
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred)
