Unit Name: Med-Surg w/Tele
Total # of Unit Beds/Suites/Deliveries: 51 beds
Description:
Assignment for 16-32 weeks
Med-Surg: Acute M/S Tele RN.
Every other weekend requirement.
NG tube insertion, peripheral IV insertion, telemetry strip interpretation all done by bedside.
Requirements:
AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS are required
NIHSS prior to starting;
Telemetry certification is preferred
5 years' experience in med surg tele OR 3 years of tele experience is required
Prior travel is required
Must have completed 2 travel assignments in 300 bed facilities OR have previous experience at any UVMHN acute care facility
EPIC experience from within the past 2 years is required and nonnegotiable
