Location: Beverly, MA 01915
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: 12-Hour Nights
Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
Weekly Pay: $2,520 – $2,700; (Negotiable based on experience)

Role Overview:

We’re seeking an experienced Charge Nurse (RN) to lead Emergency Department operations on a contract basis. This is a high-impact role requiring strong leadership, critical thinking, and clinical skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate shift operations within the Emergency Department
• Assign nursing staff based on patient acuity and staff competency
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety protocols, and hospital policies
• Respond quickly to emergencies and critical situations
• Act as the primary contact for staff, physicians, and support services during the shift
• Oversee documentation accuracy and effective communication among staff
• Support onboarding and mentorship of new or traveling nurses
• Provide guidance to nursing staff and assist in conflict resolution
• Participate in clinical care as needed (assessments, medication administration, interventions)
• Facilitate interdepartmental communication and escalate concerns as needed

Requirements:

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of Telemetry experience
• At least 1 year of previous Charge Nurse experience (required)
• Prior travel nursing experience (preferred)

Certifications:

• Active Massachusetts RN License (required)
• ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support (required)
• BLS – Basic Life Support (required)
