A specialized opportunity is available for experienced surgical technologists skilled in orthopedic nursing procedures. This contract position is based in Dover, NH, serving a premier orthopedic surgical center. The role involves advanced responsibilities within a cutting-edge environment featuring surgical technology including the MAKO robot, with a focus on total joint replacements, sports medicine, and procedures on hands and feet.
Location
Situated near Portsmouth, New Hampshire, the facility offers a professional yet welcoming setting with a dedicated surgical unit including three operating rooms equipped with state-of-the-art technology. This area combines New England charm with access to quality healthcare facilities.
Schedule/Hours
- Monday through Thursday
- 06:45 AM to 5:15 PM
Responsibilities
- Assist in surgical procedures primarily involving orthopedic cases such as total joint replacements and sports medicine surgeries.
- Utilize advanced technology like the MAKO robot for precision surgeries.
- Maintain documentation using a paper system.
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure efficient and safe operating room workflows.
Qualifications/Desired Experience
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist required.
- Proven experience in orthopedic surgical technology, especially with robotic-assisted joint replacements.
- Familiarity with surgical procedures on hands, feet, and general orthopedic cases.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
