Title: Construction Project Lead – Retail Store Planning

Location: Greater Marlborough Area, MA (Hybrid – 2 days onsite)

About the role

This role supports high-volume retail store development by leading the review and coordination of architectural and engineering plans. You will act as a central point of contact ensuring store designs meet established construction and planning standards across new stores and expansions.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage Architectural & Engineering (A&E) drawing reviews for new retail stores
• Ensure compliance with retail construction specifications, MEP standards, and store layouts
• Manage and oversee external consultants for plan reviews and site surveys
• Interface with architects, engineers, landlords, developers, and internal construction teams
• Review site survey packages and resolve design or compliance issues early
• Maintain and update construction specifications and MEP sample sets

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Retail Construction, Store Planning, Architecture, or Engineering
• Strong knowledge of general construction, retail store planning, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems
• Proven experience reviewing architectural and MEP drawings
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and consultants in parallel
• Proficiency with Bluebeam, Excel, Outlook, Adobe (Lucernex preferred)
• Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in Construction Management or related field

Compensation (MA Pay Transparency):

• Estimated hourly range: $35–$40/hr (W-2)

• Final rate within this range will be based on skills, experience, and interview results.
