We are a growing property management company, celebrating our 40th year of service, overseeing state-of-the-art and luxury residential buildings across the Boston metro area. We are actively seeking a Cleaner to join the MMC team!
This part-time position is scheduled to work Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 AM until 4:30 PM.
Our Cleaning team members professionally represent Mediate Management Company on-site, proactively address building needs, are customer service driven, and play a key role in the success of a well-run building. This position reports to the Superintendent and Property Manager.
Our ideal candidate has a minimum of two years of previous cleaning experience is preferred.
DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMTED TO:
- Maintain cleanliness of common areas and grounds, including amenity space, lobby, and corridors.
- Adhere to Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Annual and Seasonal cleaning activity checklists.
- Maintain trash rooms, empty recycling bins, ensure the trash chute is functioning properly and the area is free of debris.
- Monitor all entrances with routine checks and report any door or lock issues as well as any other issues, disrepair or suspicious activity to the Building Superintendent and Property Manager
Other qualities and requirements for a successful on-site Cleaner include:
- Must have the ability to pass a criminal background and credit check.
- Teamwork - Reaches out to and cooperates with the superintendent and property manager to establish an overall collaborative working relationship but also be able to work independently when needed.
- Janitorial and housekeeping duties for residential premises and related areas.
- Gathers and removes trash around the buildings.
- Handle potentially difficult client requests with diplomacy and tact.
- Follow-through on commitments - Lives up to verbal and written agreements.
- Follow all health and safety regulations.
- Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities.
- Attention to detail - Does not let important details slip through the cracks.
- Driven to create an environment where every person feels welcome, important, and appreciated
- Ability to communicate clearly with residents and property manager (verbally and in writing)
- Must be reliable, responsible, honest, and ethical
- Physical demands including, walking, standing, climbing, bending, kneeling to clean floors by hand, push and pull objects, lift, and move objects (including a 20-pound vacuum), repetitive bending and lifting, and repetitive arm movements, unassisted
- Professional appearance, no visible tattoos, or piercings’ during shifts
- Must be able to climb stairs, shovel snow on sidewalks around the building, and apply ice melt
