Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available for high school programs supporting students with social, emotional, and behavioral challenges near Burlington, MA. This contract role spans the current school year (CSY) and requires a candidate holding a valid DESE license in either moderate or severe special needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students with diverse social, emotional, and behavioral challenges.
  • Deliver specialized instruction that addresses academic and behavioral goals aligned with state standards.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including counselors, therapists, and families, to ensure holistic student support.
  • Maintain accurate records and document student progress to inform ongoing educational adjustments.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and social development.

Qualifications:

  • Valid DESE license in Moderate or Severe Special Needs.
  • Experience working with high school students facing social, emotional, and behavioral challenges.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with school staff, families, and external support services.
