Site Manager - Berkshire Vocational Services
Department: Vocational Services
Full-Time
Location: Pittsfield, MA
Pay: $21/hr
We're looking for an energetic, multi-talented site manager for our unique vocational training program at Prospect Meadow Farm in Pittsfield - where individuals living with a developmental disability or autism gain skills and work experience in agriculture and the trades.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise Crew Leaders and participate alongside the crews in animal care, landscaping, planting, weeding, and harvesting activities;
- Instruct farmhands in the use of hand and power tools needed for their work;
- Collaborate with others on the professional team in treatment planning;
- Support farmhands in various aspects of their daily work, and provide specific interventions based on individuals' treatment plans;
- Assist the Program Manager in all aspects of program management.
Qualifications:
- A valid drivers license and comfort driving a company vehicle
- High School diploma or GED
- Willingness to work outdoors in all seasons and weather conditions
- Experience in farming, landscaping, or manual labor a plus
- Background in human services or working with individuals with disabilities preferred
- Strong communication, mentoring, and team leadership skills
