JOB SUMMARYResponsible for operating injection molding machines used in the manufacturing process of plastic parts. Duties include setup, calibration, and shutdown of machines, conducting quality checks, maintaining optimal production schedules, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality requirements. The role also involves tracking production data, reporting issues promptly, and assisting in other areas as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow job traveler/work order to operate injection molding machines.
- Perform setup, calibrations, and shutdown of machines as required.
- Conduct visual and precision measurement quality checks during and after manufacturing.
- Maintain work and break schedules to ensure optimal machine operation.
- Unload finished parts, stack, and bag products for storage or shipping.
- Operate computer systems to load/run work instructions and track production, scrap, downtime, and machine adjustments.
- Promptly report issues, downtime, or nonconforming products to management.
- Segregate and properly mark products not meeting specifications.
- Assist with duties in other manufacturing areas as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous machine production operation experience, ideally in injection molding.
- Ability to follow documented procedures and processes.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Desire to be part of a motivated and energetic team.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Bilingual communication skills a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Injection molding experience strongly preferred.
