Location: Malden, MA
Position: Electromechanical Controls Technician
Salary: $38 to $50 per hour
Shift: 3rd Shifts Available
$3000 Sign on Bonus!!!!!!
About the Role:
Are you an experienced Electromechanical Controls Technician with a knack for troubleshooting and improving manufacturing processes? Do you have a passion for keeping complex electrical, electronic, and automated equipment running at peak efficiency? In this role, you’ll be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining the equipment that drives our production operations. Your contributions will ensure that we continue to deliver the best products safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and Diagnose: Identify and solve mechanical and electrical issues across a variety of equipment.
- Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and repairs on electrical, electronic, and automated systems, including machine controls.
- Automation & Control Systems: Develop programs for automation processes and configure devices like VFDs to enhance production.
- System Monitoring: Monitor systems, troubleshoot operational issues, and make adjustments to ensure smooth functioning.
- Technical Support: Provide support in developing and improving manufacturing processes.
- Training & Knowledge Sharing: Assist Mechanics in Level I and II, sharing your expertise to help them grow.
- Safety: Adhere to safety guidelines established by the company and follow all OSHA requirements.
What We’re Looking For:
- Education & Experience: A trade school certification or diploma in Industrial Maintenance, PLC/Electrical, with 5+ years of experience in equipment repair (manufacturing setting preferred).
- Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge in PLC programming and troubleshooting, as well as reading and modifying electrical control schematics.
- Problem Solver: Proven ability to diagnose and repair both mechanical and electrical issues, along with experience in calibrating and performing preventative maintenance on automated systems.
- Software & Hardware Proficiency: Experience with automation hardware/software, Experience in regard to your knowledge of Auto CAD and engineering software. Have you had to do any basic PLC programming experience in production equipment and maintenance.
- Allen Bradley, and the ability to work with multiple manufacturers' systems.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift, bend, kneel, climb, and work in an active environment. Occasional heavy lifting (up to 100 pounds).
- Environment: Comfortable working in a bakery production setting with temperature variations, from very hot (up to 110°ree;F) to freezing conditions (0°ree;F).
- Team Player: While no supervisory responsibilities are required, you may be called upon to mentor or train Mechanics I and II.

Physical Requirements:
- Frequent bending, kneeling, standing, walking, and climbing.
- Moderate lifting of up to 100 pounds and frequent lifting of 50-75 pounds.
- Constant use of hands and fingers, with dexterity required for working with machinery.
- Ability to work in a noisy, high-temperature, and high-humid environment.
