Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A school-based opportunity is available in Boston, MA, seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support an elementary school caseload. This contract position covers a leave from mid-March through late June, providing full-time hours within a dynamic educational environment.
Key qualifications and experience include:
- Certification: SLPs must hold CCCs (Certificate of Clinical Competence) or be in their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY); SLPA candidates with DESE licensure will also be considered.
- Licensure: Valid DESE license required.
- Caseload Experience: Proven experience in elementary school settings, specifically with students with severe autism.
- Communication Tools: Proficiency using Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized speech-language therapy services to students with varying communication needs.
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to implement effective interventions.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes consistent with school policies.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to Individualized Education Program (IEP) development.
