Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A dedicated Special Education Teacher opportunity is available in Quincy, MA, serving a middle school setting with a focus on social-emotional learning (SEL) and behavioral support. This contract position runs from ASAP through the end of the school year, offering full-time hours within an elementary school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver instruction as a Stages Teacher, integrating SEL skills into the classroom.
- Collaborate closely with Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA) to develop and implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Utilize Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) techniques to support student needs.
- Monitor student progress and adapt strategies to meet individual learning and behavioral goals.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in special education, particularly working with middle school students.
- Strong understanding of SEL principles and CBT methods.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including BCBAs.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with students, parents, and staff.
