A New Hampshire school district is seeking a Special Education Teacher specializing in high school-aged students for the 2025-2026 school year. This contract opportunity, located in Merrimack, NH, offers a fulfilling role focusing primarily on case management duties within a high school setting.
Start date is August 4, 2025, and the contract will run through May 31, 2026. The position requires a commitment of 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
Qualifications:
- Hold valid New Hampshire Special Education licensure
- Experience working with high school students in a special education capacity
- Strong case management skills and an understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, therapists, and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee special education caseloads for high school students
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Coordinate with therapists and other educational staff to support student needs
- Maintain detailed records and communicate progress to stakeholders
- Support students academic, social, and behavioral development
