Job Description

MUST HAVE INJECTION MOLDING EXPERIENCE TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION.

Job Requirements:

The Process Technicians role is to ensure that all molded products and manufacturing services meet the customer requirements. Additionally, this position is responsible for adherence to Bill of Materials (BOM) structure, Ergonomics (safety), and establishing best methods for molding parameters, work station layout, and labor rates. Troubleshooting of mold issues, including tooling, to support production and participation in MRB (Material Review Board) is expected as part of daily activities. This person also functions as a back up for the Production Supervisor at times.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Safety

Although not directly responsible for disciplinary measures, the Process Tech is expected to monitor and report activities of all employees that are unsafe. This includes:

· Safety glasses

· Trip Hazards and other housekeeping issues

· Cell phone use outside of designated areas

Daily Responsibilities

· Production machine startup and shutdown

· Troubleshooting of processing and tooling issues during order execution

· Verify all orders processed adhere to BOM requirements for material usage, and cycle times

· NPI Support (New Process Introduction) – Participate in some aspects of Quoting, Design for Manufacturing (DFM), machine selection, critical process parameters, work station layout, critical measurements for in-process inspection, packaging and testing to meet the customer requirements.

· MRB – Participate in daily meetings, to help disposition product, recognize trends in scrap, planning to mitigate or eliminate

· Backup the Production Supervisor during vacation time or absence, including schedule input, priorities, resource management, and labor reporting
