Deliver skilled nursing care in a fast-paced step-down unit, providing critical support to patients transitioning from intensive care. This opportunity involves working three 12-hour night shifts per week, offering focused, in-depth patient care during overnight hours. Rotating weekends and holiday shifts are part of this contract position, allowing for a dynamic and engaging work schedule.
Responsibilities include monitoring patient conditions closely, administering medications, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans, and responding promptly to changes in patient status. Your expertise in step-down nursing will be vital to ensuring optimal outcomes for patients requiring close observation and specialized interventions.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active RN licensure with relevant state credentials
- Proven experience in a step-down unit or progressive care setting
- Ability to manage complex patient care needs with strong clinical skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Capacity to work night shifts, including every other weekend and rotating holidays
Schedule:
- 36 hours per week
- Nights: 7:15 p.m. to 7:15 a.m.
- 3 shifts per week
- Every other weekend and rotating holidays
