Responsibilities:

Follow established procedures. • Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician. • Verify the identity of the resident after administering the medication/treatment. • Ensure adequate medications, supplies, and equipment are available. Report needs to DON. • Ensure narcotic records are accurate for your shift. • Notify DON of all drug and narcotic discrepancies. • Performs all job responsibilities in accordance with safety and infection control policies and procedures, including thorough hand washing, use of disposable gloves where indicated and proper disposal of soiled materials. • Follow established policies concerning exposure to blood/body fluids. • All responsibilities will be conducted in a manner that exhibits the IHC mission, vision, and core values.</li>
