Psychology is an exciting and changing field that has an impact on your life. Although a little more than a century old as a formal discipline, the study of psychology has revolutionized how we look at others and ourselves. While psychologists are involved in a broad range of specialties, they share the common goal of attempting to understand behavior. Hopefully, throughout this course you will find that many of the topics covered have relevance to your own life. You may find that you look at some situations differently, that you have some new insights into human behaviors, including your own.

Minimum Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Education: Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology is preferred or a bachelor’s degree with at least 12 graduate credits in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology or a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Civil Engineering Technology with 3-5 years of professional experience.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Experience: Combination of teaching and work experience preferred. Familiarity with Canvas (or similar LMS) preferred.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Residency: Must reside in NH, VT, ME, MA, RI, or CT</li>
</ul>

Job Description
NHTI – Concord’s Community College Position Type: Part-time, adjunct Semester: Fall 2026 Compensation: $825 - $975 per credit, based on adjunct faculty rank (determined by education and experience)
Position Overview: NHTI is seeking a qualified adjunct faculty member to teach Manufacturing and Materials Processing. This course provides students with a basic understanding of traditional methods of materials processing used in product manufacturing. The focus is on practical applications and real-world relevance.

<li>Course Name: Manufacturing and Materials Processing (MFET 111C)</li>
<li>Credits: 4</li>
<li>Lecture Hours: 3 hours weekly</li>
<li>Lab/Practicum Hours: 3 hours per week</li>
<li>Schedule: Lecture Tues 2:00 pm to 4:50 pm, Labs Thurs 9 am to 11:50 pm and Thurs 2 pm to 4:50 pm</li>
<li>Location: NHTI Campus, Concord, NH</li>

Course Description:
Provides a basic understanding of traditional methods of materials processing used in product manufacturing. Through lectures, demonstrations, and first-hand lab exposure, the student is given the theory and applications of each process. The following are covered: casting, extruding, forging, molding, forming, heat treating, joining, and an introduction to machining methods, both conventional and numerically controlled.
Key Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Teach the assigned course using provided curriculum and instructional materials aligned with program standards. This is a face-to-face course, but LMS software (Canvas) is used to manage the course.</li>
<li>Facilitate class discussions, assignments, and assessments to foster student engagement and learning.</li>
<li>Teach machine shop lab with a maximum student to teacher ratio of 5:1. Strong emphasis on safe shop practices.</li>
<li>Provide regular feedback and maintain accurate records of student progress.</li>
<li>Maintain professional currency in the field and comply with college policies and standards.</li>
</ul>
Minimum Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Education: Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Manufacturing or related engineering discipline.</li>
<li>Experience: Demonstrated machine shop experience using precision measurement tools (caliper, micrometer, etc.), manual lathe, mill, and surface grinder. Prior teaching experience and familiarity with Canvas (or similar LMS) preferred.</li>
<li>Residency: Must reside in NH, VT, ME, MA, RI, or CT.</li>
</ul>
