 Job Details: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Permanent Residential Real Estate Attorney to join our dynamic team. This position requires a professional who is confident, detail-oriented, and can work independently in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in real estate law and will be responsible for handling all legal matters related to residential real estate transactions. This includes preparing and reviewing legal documents, providing legal advice to real estate agents and their clients, leading educational classes, reviewing land records and assisting in resolving any title claims. Responsibilities: 1. Prepare and review deeds, contracts, powers of attorney, trust documents, title abstract reports, and any other legal documents relevant to settlements. 2. Provide legal advice to real estate agents and their clients, while representing our Title company. 3. Lead and teach educational classes relevant to real estate to enhance the knowledge and skills of our team and clients. 4. Review land records and chain-of-title to ensure clear title and resolve any discrepancies. 5. Assist in resolving any title claims and other legal disputes related to real estate transactions. 6. Handle all aspects of residential real estate transactions from start to finish, including negotiation, drafting, and execution of contracts and deeds. 7. Stay updated with the latest legal developments and trends in the real estate industry. Qualifications: 1. Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school. 2. Admission to the Massachusetts Bar. 3. Minimum of 5 years of experience in residential real estate law, with a focus on title and real estate settlement. 4. Proven experience in preparing and reviewing legal documents related to real estate transactions. 5. Strong knowledge of land records and chain-of-title. 6. Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. 7. Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 8. Proficiency in legal research and ability to provide sound legal advice. 9. Experience in teaching or leading educational classes is a plus. 10. High level of integrity and professional accountability.  Primary Responsibilities: 1. Client Management and Business Development: - Maintain and expand a book of business of at least $500k. - Build and strengthen relationships with new and existing clients, ensuring their legal and business needs are consistently met. - Drive business development activities including networking, seminars, conferences, and other events. 2. Legal Services: - Provide comprehensive legal counsel on a wide range of corporate matters, including M&amp;A, governance, securities, regulatory compliance, and others. - Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial contracts and agreements. - Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and litigations when necessary. 3. Firm Leadership and Strategy: - Collaborate with other partners to shape and execute the firm’s strategic objectives. - Mentor and guide junior attorneys, offering them insights and support in their professional development. - Contribute to the firm's knowledge base through research, publications, and presentations. 4. Operational Excellence: - Ensure adherence to the highest standards of legal practice and ethics. - Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery to clients. - Participate in firm-wide committees and initiatives, ensuring the continuous improvement of processes and practices.
