Direct Support Professionals are members of a team responsible for providing high quality direct care services to adults with developmental disabilities. The right candidates will be responsible for providing care and assistance to Individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. What you’ll do:

Position Overview: 
The Accounts Payable Supervisor is responsible for supervising the work of the accounts payable clerk and ensuring that all invoices, expenses, and payments are processed efficiently and accurately. Primary Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES

Horizons for Homeless Children is a local non-profit dedicated to improving the lives of young homeless children in Massachusetts and helping their families succeed by providing high-quality early education, opportunities for play, and comprehensive family support services. Horizons operates the highest quality early learning program in the state and has over 30 years of experience supporting children and families in the state-run family shelter system. The Mobile Learning Experience for Young Children
Amal Alliance, Horizons for Homeless, and Neighborhood Villages together are piloting a Mobile Learning initiative to provide a coordinated systematic approach for supporting under-school-age children who have recently arrived in the US by providing a combination of coordinated services, social and emotional programming, and safe, developmentally appropriate space to children and families. The goal of the Mobile Learning Initiative is to meet families where they are, learn about their needs and connect them with the resources that can get their children acclimated to life in the US. By focusing on a specific catchment zone, the Mobile Learning program will consist of a staffed Horizons playspace and two mobile learning buses that will provide access to developmentally appropriate and trauma-informed social and emotional learning and play experiences to support their health and well-being by traveling to different shelter-based programs within a small geographic area.

Responsible for delivering high-quality early childhood programming to young children and their parents within a fully mobile learning environment. The Early Childhood Specialist must be adaptable, creative, and have strong interpersonal skills to engage both children and parents effectively.

Compensation and Benefits:
There is a $1000 sign-on bonus for this position - $500 will be paid at the time of hire and $500 will be paid after 6 months in the role. *Please note, sign-on bonuses are for new hires only. Re-hires and transfers are not eligible at this time.
Paid Time Off: For a full-time employee working 40 hours a week, 22 days of Paid Time Off is received per year! PTO days will increase over the years based on longevity and there is no waiting period to start using your PTO!

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Assist individuals in obtaining a sense of self-esteem and confidence with planned activities and community involvement.</li>
<li>Provide individualized type and level of support to include, but not be limited to, personal care and/or skill acquisition etc.</li>
<li>Assist individuals in establishing, maintaining, and presenting a positive image.</li>
<li>Assist with the development and individualizing the yearly Person Centered Planning by providing information to assist with the implementation strategies for goals/objectives and methods for monitoring the delivery and quality of supports to the individual.</li>
<li>Complete documentation requirements as specified by the Individual Service Agreement to include the scheduled data collection and monthly progress notes.</li>
<li>Will stay in compliance with all company and state required trainings which will include Relias and in person trainings as well as yearly ISA Sign Offs.</li>
<li>Report any safety, health or human rights concern immediately to the Supervisor.</li>
<li>Understand and ensure compliance with applicable state regulations.</li>
<li>Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.</li>

Environment and Physical Demands:
<ul>
<li>Work environment- The positions is typically in the community. You will be required to come to the office for in person trainings and meetings.</li>
<li>Physical demands- Direct Support Providers must be physically able to lift up to 50 lbs. and to provide transfers if necessary. Walking and standing required frequently with occasional stair climbing. Must be able to push wheelchairs and operate wheelchair lifts/Hoyer and barrier free lifts if required for the client. Emergency behavioral intervention must be followed in accordance with behavioral intervention techniques and individual behavioral plans.</li>

Travel:
Must have access to personal vehicle during all scheduled work hours. Frequently travels with supported individuals utilizing personal vehicle. Must possess and maintain a valid NH license and safe driver's record in accordance with Community Choices standards with adequate liability insurance.

You will need to interact professionally with students, school administrators, teachers, and public agency personnel to foster a supportive and effective learning environment. Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
<ul>
<li>Certification or eligibility for certification as a Massachusetts Chapter 74 Occupational Instructor in Information Support Services &amp; Networking or a closely related field.</li>
<li>Certification in Cisco Networking and COMP TIAA+ is a plus.</li>
<li>At least four (4) years of career and technical experience in the field; teaching experience in secondary or post-secondary education preferred.</li>
<li>Associate’s degree or higher in a related field is preferred.</li>
<li>Commitment to obtaining and maintaining a Massachusetts Department of Elementary &amp; Secondary Education Educator’s License through professional development or growth activities.</li>
<li>High school or trade school degree required; post-secondary education preferred.</li>
<li>Willingness to pursue certification as a teacher, if not already certified.</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to engage professionally with diverse stakeholders, including students, parents, school staff, and industry representatives.</li>
<li>U.S. citizenship, residency, or work visa required.</li>
