Position Summary 
Machine Operators at Proterial set up, operate, and monitor machinery that includes, but is not limited to, shaping thermoplastics, braiding cables, and assembling conductor groups into final products, ensuring adherence to precise specifications. The job involves exposure to fumes, moving parts, vibration, and loud noise, emphasizing the importance of these operators in maintaining safety, production quality, and efficiency.[KT1] Machine Operator III’s will be responsible for the function listed below.
 
Functions
Machine Operator III: Runs higher complexity of extrusion equipment, higher speed or higher product cost, where a higher level of technical expertise is required.

Essential Functions for all Machine Operators

<li>Obey all safety rules, use caution in work activities, and continuously practice safe behaviors following all Safety policies. </li>
<li>Immediately reporting unsafe conditions/behaviors and work-related injuries to site supervision.</li>
<li>Train and mentor new employees in the operation and function of equipment. </li>
<li>Perform all other duties as assigned. </li>

Qualifications
Machine Operator III
<ul>
<li>At least six months of tenure at Proterial and qualified to run either Machine Operator I or Machine Operator II production lines.</li>
<li>Must fulfill minimum skill requirements from the training qualification checklist of Level III Machine(s).</li>
<li>Wire and cable experience required, with the organization requiring specialized knowledge and skills for this role. </li>
<li>Prior experience with extrusion preferred.</li>
</ul>
 
Minimum Requirements for all Machine Operators:
<ul>
<li>High School Diploma or equivalent.</li>
<li>Excellent reading comprehension skills to understand written manufacturing specifications, process sheets, instructions, and procedures.</li>
<li>Strong oral and written communication skills to exchange information with co-workers and supervisors.</li>
<li>Computer Skill: Basic level required to enter data into a computerized system and navigate manufacturing software.</li>
<li>Excellent mathematical skills and above-average mechanical aptitude for accurate measurements and calculations.</li>
<li>Strong attention to detail is required in machine operation to minimize scrap.</li>
<li>Ability to work independently with minimal direction, demonstrating initiative and self-direction.</li>
<li>Hands-on experience and knowledge using micrometers, calipers, venires, and other measuring devices for precise measurements.</li>
<li>Ability to read and interpret gauges, dials, and equipment controls to ensure machinery is operating within specified parameters.</li>
<li>Ability to lift, carry, and relocate approximately 50 lbs. of objects, materials, and/or product to support production needs.</li>

The Senior Electrical Engineer will work with the construction team in the design and construction of mission- critical data center environments.
